Style:Ryuuchouken (Flowing Fist)
Description: Not soft, not hard, but flowing, just like water, fluid in motion and beautiful in design. Rather than the piercing attacks of the gentle fist that damage a person’s internal organs, or the ferocious smashing attacks that make of the strong fist’s style, it flows around all of it, softening, redirecting, overwhelming. This would then be combined with the Fujii family bloodline for even greater results. On offense, the attacks will be meant to invade the opponent’s area and keep that invasive area, continuing the attack.
Techniques:
1.Kaihoute (Open Hand): One of two starting stances of the Ryuuchouken. The user would be facing sideways, similar to how a standard fighting stance would begin, except that both hands are completely open. Of course this is not completely original and is quite a normal stance. However, this is the beginning of the style and allows the user to redirect attacks from the front and side with minimal movement with either pressing down or stepping and pressing to the side. By finding the correct angle, even the strongest attack can be neutralized.
2.Kaihou Yarite (Open Spear Hand): The second starting stance of Ryuuchouken. The foot positioning is completely to the side, similar to, of course, holding a spear. The left foot is forward, knee slightly bent. The left hand is the one in front, the palm pointing upward held out directly in front. The right hand’s palm is open, but not upward, outward. This is mainly the stance where the Ryuuchouken really crawls upward from.
3.Hakke Fuji (Divination Wisteria): The first strike, starting from the Kaihou Yarite. Meant to be used on any sort of offensive strike. The speed of the strike that is heading toward a person doesn’t matter because it’s meant to be used on pure instinct rather than any such thing as foresight. This can be used on attacks done in the air, or straight on thrusts above waist-level. What happens is that the hand in front catches the attack, slightly pushing it to the side, shifting outward and normally holding onto the wrist. Next, by shifting outward, one would normally think that it limits the range of your attack. On the contrary, this is where the user climbs upward from. The right hand will thrust forward and twist around the arm that was striking. The right hand should end up at about the opponent’s neck from a forward strike. After this, there are several techniques that can be used. The feet are positioned so that movement in a way to escape the grip of the right hand would be quite difficult, right behind the front foot, which would be present in a proper punch. Does not work on overly muscular people.
4.Kaihou Hana (Open Flower): A strike used when Hakke Fuji is not applicable. This can be used from Kaihou Yarite and Kaihoute, the latter being used more in this situation. There are two versions of this, one handed and two handed. Beyond that, there is also moving inward and moving outward. The difference between one handed and two is only the degree of power. However, to make things simpler, as a general rule of thumb, one handed allows the user to move outward easily, and two handed allows the user to move inward easily. For the one handed, it is simply a pushing block to the side and moving outward, which means toward the sides of the opponent, generally to the side where the attack had come from, the assumed blind side. This will allow for more attacks later. For two handed, it’s the same pushing block, but because the two hands allow for more power, you can push the fist outward with more chance of success. The reason that this is a more difficult position is the assumption that the punch is heading toward the center, inward, and this block would put your force in a semi-direct confrontation with the force of the opponent. This is usually followed up with a shoulder ram or some other quick, high power technique as your moving toward the opponent’s body and would leave you open for a grab or some other attack.
5.Hanafusa (Bunch of Flowers): Starting from Hakke Fuji, this technique can finally begin. Using chakra to speed up the arm, several strikes at once can be done. Normally the strikes are as follows, but they can be varied: Neck Strike, Groin Strike, Turn and do a strike to the base of the neck and after that a short kick to the back of the knee. Improvisation and such can be incorporated depending on the situation, but the main point of this technique is to immobilize, not to kill. This is really a combination that can end a fight and is one of Tsuneo’s specialties.
6.Uzuhana (Swirl Flower): Adapted from the Chinese art of Piguaquan. This attack can be begun from either the Kaihoute or Kaihou Yarite. The real defining quality of this attack is the fact that the arms must be continuously in motion. This is a rather long-range taijutsu and when trained on for several years, this attack is able to bend iron, if not break it. The power truly comes from the acceleration and explosion of impact of the arms, which means that the point of impact, rather than a fist, is almost the length of the arm. However, as in all attacks, the very tip of it is the most powerful. The first strike is normally a downward strike by rotation of the arms with subtle hip and foot movements to guide the giant chop to its target. This can be done with two hands and the rotation can be in any direction the user wants although the most effective is the downward open-handed chopping strike. The Uzuhana is the base for the next technique and must be mastered for the next technique to be effective.
7.Aoarashi (Wind Blowing through Verdure): A technique that takes advantage of quicker reflexes, as it takes their block and uses it for the acceleration needed in Uzuhana. The most common example of this technique is a horizontal Uzuhana with your step being a couple feet longer than it should be for a proper strike. The main advantage is that the user doesn’t do anything more than take that step and attack normally. When the opponent blocks, your arm would bend at a joint, swinging around for a shorter chop at the back of their head, using that block as a pivot to strike and accelerate their own strike.
8.Utsuro Jiku (Hollow Stem): Taken from the phrase “Hollow Truth”, which in martial arts, are feints. With the flowing style of Ryuuchouken, feints are an absolute must to begin the first strike and to continue the attack without stopping. For example, with the Uzuhana, one feint is a vertical chop that the user would intentionally miss, spinning their body around and striking with the second hand backhanded, adding more power and having a higher percentage of hitting. It is also possible to begin the strike with a vertical, but change the second hand to a diagonal or horizontal Uzuhana with the momentum from the first one. Another common feint is the elbow strike. In the middle of an elbow strike, the user is able to use their second hand to whip out the bent arm and turn the short ranged elbow strike to a longer ranged chop or punch. Then, because the momentum would continue to carry the user forward, by shifting the feet and putting their forward foot behind the foot of the opponent, the false elbow strike could trip the opponent.
9.Kibatsu Hana-tachi (Striking Petals): Based off of a technique known as Tame. It has been incorporated into the style because of the flowing combination of strikes that define the technique. This is how most people would gain extreme power from a finger flick, not from one single flick using the tip of the finger, but flicking and striking the forehead with every joint of that finger in an instant. This is a flowing array of strikes that meld into one in a single moment. Using this theory, one could use it with an arm or leg or in the most common way in this style, the entire length of both arms. By starting out the strike with a knife hand, you can strike a person with every joint along your fingers, then the wrist, elbow and finally the shoulder. That’s where it would normally end, but if one has learned Ryuuchouken, then the strikes are able to flow. By simply turning the body and following through even more than you normally would, you can reverse the entire strike. If you struck first with the right hand, then when you followed through, you would turn your back and strike with the left shoulder, then follow in reverse order: elbow, wrist, joints of the fingers. Because there are so many strikes into one area, it can kill a person and is not meant to be used with the person can use the full momentum of a spin if one does not want to kill. The most destructive of all the techniques in the style, and can kill without chakra. Has a modified version done with two kunai held in the hands which adds another two strikes that cut to the entire combination.
10.Sazanami (Ripples on Water): A technique that uses a rippling strike to add momentum to a fist that has been stopped. Once the fist hits resistance the user would then open up their fist, taking small steps back so their fingertips are touching the object of resistance. Then wave their arm, still keeping the tips at the same point, moving forward at the same time, resulting in a high-powered palm strike at point-blank range. When learning, you would be taught that this is not to strike the opponent, but to strike through them and when you did strike through them, the ripples that you sent through would create more force on the body of the opponent than any straightforward strike. The palm strike creates internal injuries, but if it’s striking wood or something, the palm strike will actually go through the material.
11.Joukou (Going Upstream): Used in combination with a one-handed Kaihou Hana. After pushing the attacking hand toward the person the user would then follow the person’s arm up through their strike and attack the neck or shoulder with the forward momentum of the step. This is not specifically that strike though, but rather the movement forward so even if the counter from the one-handed Kaihou Hana was an Uzuhana, it would still be classified as a Joukou strike.
12.Senkai Hana (Turning Flower): A counter technique of the Ryuuchouken. By reading the rhythm of an attack, one is able to spin around it, keeping the momentum and using Uzuhana on a horizontal plane, then striking from the outside in an instant. This technique is also able to become something known as Shikkyaku Hana (Falling Flower), which is part of Utsuro Jiku. By reading the rhythm of the attack, one is able to spin, but rather than using it as a counterattack option, you shift your axis so that the power of the opponent’s strike would hit you off center and then you give yourself a gentle spin. This means that the opponent would honestly feel their strike connecting and then as you spin, you fall down quickly so it seems as though you’ve just been knocked out/down. Of course, in reality you’ve taken no damage and are able to get up whenever you feel like it. Very useful in situations where a person is using their full strength.

Tsuneo possesses a muscular body, not from any sort of genetic manipulation or a natural gift. It has been slowly carved out by effort. Of course, it is not overly muscular for the style that Tsuneo learned, too many muscles would cause quite a few problems. It is compact and can exert force from almost every part of the body, having been trained so that there was not a useless inch anywhere. However, that’s impossible and while he is fit, he does not look like it at all. His body was trained for the movements to be elegant and completely at peace, all actions to flow and seem natural with strength and flexibility put all together. His face is calm and curious, with black hair that is about shoulder length flowing and covering it at times. His mouth is curved downward slightly, not enough for it to be seen as a frown, but more like constant disinterest whenever one speaks to him. His skin is soft in color and is normal, the same color as a normal person’s. His fingers are thin and semi-long that are able to be controlled with exact motions. Even when standing still, he has an air of fluidity around him, but that is soon reconsidered because from any sort of angle, he seems like a normal person.

Clothing worn:[/u]
Mission Clothes:
For missions, he will wear standard ninja clothing, which is basically a single color suit that encompasses his body from head to toe with only a straight opening for the eyes and ending at the wrist, widening a bit at that point. He wears gloves at this point, and if the situation calls for it, bandages, simply because he needs to have some sort of protection around his arms. His hair will poke out in sometimes, and if he chooses, he can get rid of the top half of the head piece and let his hair flow outward in the wind. The clothes for the most part will be loose fitting, but not quite baggy, allowing for the most freedom of movement while still keeping the initial purpose, which is to hide the user. If needed, he will strap his forehead protector to his forearm rather than to his forehead since it would be too obvious in a mission if it were on top of his head. His shinobi sandals during a mission are normal for the most part, but cover the upper part of his foot as well as the bottom and the sole is much thinner to allow for a softer step.
Home Clothes:
See picture. He likes the blazer and pants style, but because most of the time it is too tight for normal wear and can become uncomfortable he will often wear it in the style as shown in the picture. However, no matter what, his shirt will never be tucked, simply because that just makes things even more uncomfortable. He has a variety of ties and blazers as well as formal pants to go with them. However, he doesn’t wear shoes with them unless it’s to a formal event and instead will wear samurai style sandals or the standard shinobi sandals.

History:[/u]
The wisteria that hangs from the tree will continuously feed on it, draining it of life until the tree dies and the wisteria petals fall into the river, continually flowing and their pollen spreading through out the world. So how do you keep it from spreading? You keep it isolated in the water, in the mist where the water in its swirling patterns can keep the wisteria isolated on its tree, the blossoms never traveling farther. But it is within the water that one is able to see the truth. And within the water trapped, you can see the waves and the vibrations, how it flows and connects throughout the entire world. And that was how the wisteria began to whip through the water and in the air, creating a flowing style of fighting that would passed down in order to survive.
The Fujii clan has a small plot of land and none large family mansion, simply a standard two-story house. Inside they house over 30 clan members. Their outer walls form the boundary and in the center is the pride and joy of the clan. It’s a training field, but there are dents all over the place. This is odd, because it’s covered in stone. The constant training causes these dents and not the violent shockwaves of fists slamming against it, but by the subtle footwork that is incorporated into the Ryuuchouken. The footwork is not powerful, but it is flowing, and like water erodes stone, the footwork over the stone floor caused the dents. This is comes from practicing the same technique not 1,000 times, not even 10,000 times every day. But constant practices every day, every moment of your life. If one were to count the amount of practice each individual move was given, it would be far into the billions. And after they learn it and it’s embedded into their muscles, they don’t stop practicing and instead start stringing variations together in combinations, continually in motion, never stopping until the wisteria string ends, and then starting over, again and again. This is where the clan excels, each generation getting stronger and stronger as the students surpass the masters.
And that is how Fujii Tsuneo was raised. Not as a special person, but as a normal member, the continuous climb upward and the eventual transcendence beyond all of his teachers. But that would not happen for a while and he continues to train diligently in his spare time, unable to really enjoy anything. In comparison, doing missions is like his breaks and allows him to branch out his other skills as a shinobi. But that was his life, training through various means, never the same for the human being’s mind becomes complacent and lazy from doing the same thing every day. But always stretching toward the same goal and the same general idea was incorporated with anything they did. Tsuneo himself does not stand out within his clan and is rather plain. He’s been raised with diligence and his personality has adapted that with constant practice. His entire body remembers it and knows that even until his dying die, he will continue to practice out of habit, and will always begin the day with his practice routine.
